Embrace a Slow Morning: How to create a Morning Tea Ritual


In a world where life seems to be going at a faster and faster pace, finding moments to slow down and reconnect with ourselves can feel like a challenge. Our morning sets the tone for the entire day, and creating a peaceful, intentional routine can transform our whole day. 

I used to be a coffee drinker for years, and it was a part of my morning routine every day. I started to feel jittery, anxious and my sleep started to be affected. I slowly started to back away from coffee and switched to tea. Once I made the switch fully, I knew there was no going back. Being immersed in the tea world was something new for me, and I loved it!! And it is one of the biggest reasons why I decided to collaborate with a Naturopathic Doctor to formulate our own Organic Loose-Leaf Tea. 

 

 

 

Here are my 5 tips to find, create & enjoy your morning tea ritual to help you stay grounded and relaxed.

 


 1. Choose Your Tea Wisely & Know Where It's Sourced

The type of tea you select can influence your morning experience. Green tea, known for its gentle caffeine content and high levels of antioxidants, offers a calm yet alert state, perfect for starting the day with clarity. Herbal teas, like chamomile or lavender, are caffeine-free and excellent for those who prefer a serene, calming effect. Black tea, with its robust flavor and higher caffeine content, can provide a more substantial wake-up call without the jitters associated with coffee. Explore different varieties to find what resonates with your body's needs and your personal preferences.  4. Pair Tea with Reflection

Consider pairing your tea-time with a reflective practice. Journaling can be an excellent companion to your morning tea. As you sip, jot down your thoughts, intentions for the day, or things you are grateful for.  Or if journaling just isn't your thing, you can pair your tea with light reading, gentle stretching, or simply gazing out the window, letting your mind wander.
